What a great week!

I had such a fun time hosting trivia with some truly lovely residents...seeing their smiles and being able to bring a little joy to their day was so rewarding.

I wrapped up the week today at The Center for Great Expectations HOPE Takes Flight Luncheon. It’s always such a beautiful event...great weather, inspiring atmosphere, and amazing women all around.

Here some things I enjoyed doing this week...on Wednesday I had the honor of co-hosting a super fun Bingo networking event at Brandywine with the one and only Africa Morales and some other great partners Natalie Passione, Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®Diana Cassie, great connections, laughter, and energy. Then yesterday, we brought that same joy to a wonderful group of residents for another Bingo session...super fun!! Great week bringing people together, creating smiles, and building community.

Yesterday was a special day at A Place At Home. First my mom joined to help put together baskets and prizes for our upcoming events. I’m truly thrilled to have her helping and contribute in such a meaningful way. Later we celebrated (a little early) our amazing Operations Manager, Kristyn, whose birthday is this Thursday…great time with the team!…And yes, my daughter Julia has also been part of the team. March is Brain Injury Awareness Month—an important topic for older adults, because falls are a leading cause of traumatic brain injury in seniors.

If your loved one does hit their head—even from a “small” fall—watch for confusion, headache, dizziness, or behavior changes, and call their provider or emergency services right away. Planning ahead and having in-home support can help reduce fall risks so seniors can stay safer where they’re most comfortable: at home.
