Yesterday my client had a successful VBAC at Brigham& Women’s! We had an exceptional nurse named Denise who upon starting her shift took a lot of time understanding my client’s fears from her first precipitous birth. As a new doula (only my 4th birth), because my client got an epidural early on- I had that feeling of “ I’m not doing anything “, especially since nurse was so experienced. This birth went so differently- and really that was the win for client! In conversation, my client expressed how much help I’ve been overall helping her advocate and get her head around preparing for this birth.🤷♀️I had no idea. I’m so happy for this couple- everyone is doing well!
