Being a new parent is hard work! Rosalie just had her first babies and is lucky to have a strong support system so she can focus on nursing and bonding with her babies. Many human families lack this support but that’s what we are for!

Hi friends! I’ve been away from my doula and educator work for a bit while I was adjusting to single parent life (what a trip!) but coming back for a bit during this outbreak. The first days after a baby arrives can be really tough, especially at this time! I’m offering donation based FaceTime/phone/chat support for new parents. If you have needs or questions or just want to talk to someone that isn’t a baby, hit me up! Times are tough so pay what you can but if that’s $0 I still want to help. ❤️
Trying out the fb booking tool so you should be able to book right here on this page.

On those days when you’re ready to give up from exhaustion or feeling guilty for not doing more to change the world, remember that conscious, careful parenting is activism in its own right. 💖

I like to tell parents that all of the crappy parts of parenting (aka “disequilibrium”) lead to joyful developmental breakthroughs. I’d notice when my oldest had a really rough week behaviorally that he would follow with some dope new skill. Looks like the hard and easy times get longer as they age but at some point they’ll probably move out. 🤞🏻

As children develop, they go through periods of equilibrium and disequilibrium, cycling in and out of times when their behavior is more or less challenging.

Hooray! But remember parents, like I say in class: it’s your goddamn right to breastfeed anywhere you’re allowed to be... it’s also your goddamn right to do what makes you feel comfortable so you don’t have to fight every battle either. ❤️

Of all of the concerns that I had when it comes to breastfeeding my daughter — her latch, my supply, etc. — someone seeing my b**b was the least of them. But not everyone has that opinion. Just recently, Idaho and Utah legalized breastfeeding in publ…
