PGx Solutions USA, LLC Pharmacogenomics (PGx): the science of medications and YOU. Contact us today for information or visi But why? My cardiologist changed my meds at my request.

My goal as a PGx certified licensed pharmacist is to educate healthcare professionals, patients, and the public about the importance of pharmacogenomics (PGx) in health care. Because I had a heart attack that resulted in 2 stents being placed earlier this year. I knew about pharmacogenomics, so had my PGx test done the day after discharge, and found out that I was released on a medication that my

body couldn't metabolize, meaning I had absolutely no benefit from taking the drug. I often think of all the people that took that medication and yet had a recurrent cardiac event because they simply didn't know. Don't put yourself at risk with medications that don't work for you, get your PGx test done (a quick, easy, painless cheek swab) and know your bodies reaction to approximately 300 drugs BEFORE you're prescribed any of them.
