I’m sure folks who have said the reason you go through trauma is to grow had good intentions. As a human, it is extremely difficult to deal with hard things happening. Our brains work so hard to make sense of it. Maybe it doesn’t make sense. What an uncomfortable thought for the brain that is though! Post traumatic growth IS a thing! AND, we don’t go through trauma for the exorcism and growth. Sh*t happens and I can’t explain that. I DO know healing is a thing and greater appreciation for life can go along with it. Again, not why it happens though. It’s not a punishment, or a test, or a cleanse. Full stop. What do you think?
