Sonoma Roots Natural Medicine is a natural health clinic and herb shop located in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Sonoma Roots is owned and operated by a native Sonoma Valley resident and naturopathic doctor. We have a passion for inspiring health and providing wellness solutions that are accessible to both Sonoma Valley residents and visitors to the wine country.

Come shop at Sonoma Roots Natural Medicine for supplements and herbal tinctures and teas. If you have general health questions or need a little guidance, Dr. Danielle is available on Wednesdays to help our customers that walk-in and have basic questions that do not require physical exams. She may be available between patient visits on other days as well. Additional services offered at Sonoma Roots include the following:

Dr. Danielle Schwaderer offers naturopathic medical visits, body fat analysis, nutritional counseling, flower essence formulation, and constitutional homepathic remedy selection. After years of incredible dedication, our beloved Office Manager, Claire, is stepping away from Sonoma Roots to prioritize her family during a challenging time. As some of you may know, Claire’s stepfather tragically lost his life in a senseless act while serving as a parole officer in Oakland just a few weeks ago. In the wake of this devastating loss, Claire has been devoted to supporting her mother and young sisters, who now need her more than ever. Her focus is, rightfully, on their health, safety, and healing, and we fully support her decision to be by their side.

Claire has been the backbone of our operations, bringing warmth, care, and top-notch service to our Sonoma Roots community. While we are sad to see her go, we are immensely grateful for everything she has contributed and wish her all the best as she navigates this new chapter in her life.

To our valued community,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve temporarily adjusted our business hours to support our team during a difficult time. Claire, our beloved Office Manager, is on leave to be with her family. Our thoughts are with her, and we’re grateful for your understanding.

Effective immediately, our new hours are:

Monday & Tuesday: 10 AM – 5 PM
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: By appointment only
Friday: 10 AM – 2 PM

Today, we celebrate 10 incredible years in business! Sonoma Roots officially opened its doors on July 15, 2015, with just me and my cousin Ashley (of Bloom Skin Care & Waxing) at the helm. Over the years, we’ve navigated life’s many twists and turns—welcoming babies, planning weddings, raising children, and managing our businesses through wildfires, a pandemic, and countless other challenges. Yet here we are, standing stronger than ever.

I am deeply grateful for the amazing team of passionate and dedicated staff and providers who have made Sonoma Roots their home away from home. Together, we’ve served thousands in our community, and being named Sonoma Valley’s 2024 Business of the Year is an honor that means the world to us.

This little women-owned and operated gem is built on heart and resilience, and I couldn’t be prouder of all we’ve accomplished. Thank you for your unwavering support over the years. Here’s to staying healthy together, Sonoma!
