My comfort food on a rainy day…split pea soup, just as my grandma would make. I added our homegrown carrots, kale and chard. I also baked bread for the first time ever, an easy recipe that a friend shared with me after my 7-year-old ate almost the whole loaf when she made it.

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️ Heart shaped pizza, snacks and chocolate fondue with all of the fruit and dippers. Enjoyed this evening with some close pals and our kids.. 💖

Growing things to eat or make pollinators happy is my jam. And might as well throw in a few of my favorites for cut flowers to spread joy.

Beef and broccoli with a little California flare. Kale. As always. I asked my husband tonight if I could add kale and his response was “of course, it’s not even weird to me any more, I expect it.” Cool. 👊

My sister most recently introduced me to the ReciMe app to store and organize all of my favorite recipes, or anything my husband sees and wants to try from TikTok. It is a game changer if you cook a lot. No affiliation.

Kid food idea: deconstructed GF ramen bowl. My first born loves many foods, but soup is not one. Instead of making an entirely different meal, I just pull some of the protein and veggies out of the broth that he does like and serve it along side of some GF ramen noodles with a little broth, salt and a dash of sesame oil. It’s a win for all.
