When we’re feeling overwhelmed or lost in the narrative, it can be helpful to pause, pull back to a wide angle lens, and observe our thoughts and emotions for what they are—just passing clouds in a clear blue sky of consciousness. SURRENDER. To surrender is not to give up or give in from a state of weakness. It takes a great amount of courage to surrender. Sometimes, we fight the battle out of habit, drawn to the drama of it all. While fighting for justice and change is needed, surrender can also be a wise choice.
