Meet Liz: A Calm Presence in the ER

Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Chuck
If you’ve been to SVH lately, you might’ve met Chuck—a retired teacher, friendly face, and one of the first volunteers to return post-COVID.
He came in one day and simply asked, “Need any help?” Now he’s here twice a week, escorting patients and spreading kindness wherever he goes.
“I get more out of it than I give,” Chuck says.
