made me feel like a new woman today! Six months since my last haircut 💇🏼‍♀️ and 14 since my last color…let’s just say this mama needed a little spring refresh! The best part is, she came to me, so my wiggly koala bear could stay in the comfort of his own home 🙏🏼

My mirrors might be dirty and my mail might be piling up on my kitchen island, but someday soon I’ll miss that he wants to be on me always. I’m learning the things born out of necessity can become our biggest blessings. Baby wearing in this case. Did you wear your babies much? Did you have a favorite carrier? I have only used three so far; Solly wrap, Bambini & Me wrap, and Ergobaby (pictured), but I have some others I need to try! What did you love most about wearing your babes? 🤍

I have dreamed of making my own baby purées as far back as I can remember. Never even really thought twice about it. But last week my myofascial specialist (who helped us through tongue and lip tie revisions), mentioned baby-led weaning (BLW).

It was the first I’d heard of it! Basically, instead of making a bunch of mashed-up foods and spoon-feeding, you allow your baby to feed themselves a version of what you’re eating when they’re ready.

I’m looking forward to doing more research, but so far it’s really ringing true!

Especially the stories of how generations past didn’t do puréed foods, but instead had their babies start with regular foods from the time they could sit up on their own.

How did you introduce foods with your baby? Have you heard of BLW? Did you do some version of it?

It has been a chilly few days cooped up inside with snow and temps in the teens and 20’s. But the sun came out this morning and we braved the farmers market! Benjamin and I got all stocked up for our January clean eating challenge with 🥩 🐓 🥕
