Who knew a little glue and some colorful tissue paper could turn into this much fun? 🌸

Our memory care residents rolled up their sleeves and got to work decorating flower pots—and let’s just say, creativity was in full bloom! From George’s bold, anything-goes masterpiece to Mary’s perfectly spaced, detail-loving design, Virginia’s bright and colorful creation, and Chris—always willing to try something new—bringing her keen architectural eye to her design, every pot had its own personality.

And George? He didn’t just craft—he performed. His one-liners had the whole table laughing so hard we almost forgot we were covered in glue (almost). Meanwhile, Werner—always happy, smiling, and ready for any activity—brought his signature joy to the table, making the day even brighter. And in one of the day’s funniest moments, Tiffany (our Sales Director) managed to drip a little glue on Jan… and Jan made sure she heard about it! 😂

Sticky fingers, big smiles, and plenty of “remember when” moments made this activity one to remember. 💛

We had such a wonderful afternoon with Ed Collins at Encore! 🎹

Ed filled the room with upbeat, happy, and joyful tunes that had everyone clapping along, dancing, and smiling from ear to ear. The energy was truly something special.

Moments like these are a beautiful reminder of the power of music—how it can spark memories, lift spirits, and bring people together. There’s something especially magical about the piano, with its rich, familiar sound creating a sense of comfort, joy, and connection for so many.

Our residents couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved the performance—many said, “This was the best… he has to come back!” And we couldn’t agree more.

Thank you, Ed, for bringing so much joy to our community. We’re already looking forward to your next visit! 💙

Sherri, our amazing Activities Director, kicked things off with a burst of energy—sending balloons flying and residents into action! Armed with pool noodles and big smiles, everyone got moving with a little friendly competition and a whole lot of laughter.

What a beautiful, uplifting morning we shared in our memory care community! Our residents enjoyed a special visit from young adults from NISRA, who brought so much joy, energy, and kindness with them. Together, they spent time creating colorful, personalized flower pots and making fun “dirt cup” treats with gummy worms! 🧁🌱 The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments of connection as everyone worked side by side.

It was truly heartwarming to see the conversations, teamwork, and creativity shared between generations. Experiences like this bring so much life and warmth to our community.

We also want to give a huge, proud shout-out to two incredible individuals from our NISRA community! ⭐
🌊 Ashley #1 will be competing in Swimming at the Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games at ISU this June!
⚽ Ashley #2 will be competing in Soccer at the same state games at ISU!

Big things are happening behind the scenes as we get ready for summer! ☀️

Our Maintenance Manager, Bill, and Executive Chef, Vern, teamed up to build a brand-new gazebo in one of our courtyards. Their hard work is all about creating a welcoming outdoor space where residents, staff, and families can relax, connect, and enjoy the fresh air together.

We can’t wait to see this space come to life with laughter, conversation, and sunny days ahead! 🌿

🍪✨ A Sweet Surprise from Girl Scout Troop 2092! ✨🍪

This past weekend, our memory care residents were treated to a cookie delivery of epic proportions—boxes and boxes of delicious Girl Scout cookies! 😋

From classic favorites to irresistible treats, there was something for everyone—and plenty of joy to go around. After all, who doesn’t love a Girl Scout cookie? 💚

Pat proves that a smile really is the best party decoration 😄🎉

She celebrated her birthday surrounded by friends, a cupcake flower that was almost too pretty to eat (almost! 🧁), and a giant blow-up birthday cake that might’ve been competing with her for “most cheerful in the room.” Spoiler alert: Pat still won! 🎂

The best part? A room full of residents singing Happy Birthday to the one person who makes every day a little brighter. 💛

We had some egg-stra special visitors hop into our building today! 🐰🥚

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing partners at Gentiva Hospice for dropping off not one, but TWO giant Easter eggs packed with goodies for our team! From marshmallow peeps to coffee mugs, pens, and sweet treats—these eggs were truly eggstraordinary! 💛

There were plenty of smiles, a little sugar rush, and lots of excitement cracking into these goodies! 🐥✨
