Starvation is NOT it.
(And shows how outdated you are if that’s the go-to).
Starving a child to get them to eat can make a situation worse very fast.
And if they’re already struggling with positive mealtime thoughts. . . Starvation is pushing them further.
It breeds frustration, shame, and more within a child when they’re already struggling with feeding.
And honestly, who would feel better being starved as a means force participation?
If this is advice you’re being given, here’s your sign to switch providers because that’s NOT supporting your child’s feeding journey.
Getting to the root of the problem matters & starvation will only keep you from it.
