A huge congratulations to BST’s very own, Keelin, on being crowned Homecoming Queen at Marian High School last Friday! She was incredibly surprised, but has taken to the roll quite well as she is requesting she be called Queen Keelin for a bit. Congratulations again, Queen Keelin!!

💛🍼 We need baby blankets! 🍼💛

DSI is in desperate need of handmade baby blankets to include in our New Parent Packets! Blankets can be crocheted, knitted, or quilted. Ideal size is approximately 30 x 30 inches (but size is flexible).

Indiana Bureau of Disabilities Services announced a public comment period for proposed amendments to the Family Supports Waiver (FSW), Community Integration and Habilitation Waiver (CIH), Health and Wellness Waiver (H&W), and the Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver (TBI) last week. Public comment gives an opportunity to share thoughts and concerns around the proposed changes. Comments can be submitted to ddrswaivernoticecomment@fssa.in.gov, and the public comment period is open until March 18, 2026.

It was a pleasure to welcome representatives from the University of Indianapolis Music Therapy Program to the Statehouse this week!

Their work highlights the power of music as a tool for healing, connection and growth within our communities.

Indiana is fortunate to have programs like this preparing the next generation of compassionate professionals.

The holidays are all about traditions. This guy and his behavior consultant do a walking Christmas light tour at a local botanical garden every year to work on sensory and social skills. The tradition is so important to them that a little bit of rain wasn’t going to stop them. They even had the whole place to themselves; the only downside was there wasn’t anyone to ask to take their picture. 😀

We had a holly jolly time at our annual Christmas party last evening! There were truly some amazing ugly sweaters, tasty Christmas cookies, and lots of Christmas music bingo winners. Needless to say the Christmas spirit was flowing while we were working on our skills! Thanks for everyone who attended!
