It was a mad dash around the world this week at BST’s 5th annual Amazing Race!

Our Amazing Race skill lab required individuals to navigate challenges and solve clues while zipping from country to country. Along the way, they practiced using their social skills, flexed their independence, and found clever ways to communicate, all while making new memories (and establishing bragging rights until next year’s race!)

Getting uniforms together for next week’s C.A.R.E. Resource Fair here at the Kroc Center! 🏫

Along with a host of other resources, each child is eligible to receive one free school uniform during the event while supplies last! 👕

To receive a uniform, please bring one of the following for each child:
- Birth certificate
- Insurance card with child’s name
- School ID or report card
- Any official document showing the child’s name and date of birth

A group of our rock band and ukulele musicians had a blast performing at Disability Pride Day! Thank you to Howard Park South Bend for hosting us. It is always great for our individuals to have new and exciting experiences in the community, and we are grateful for this opportunity to share all of their hard work! 🎶

July at BST has been a month full of fun and growth at our skill enhancement labs!

We kicked things off earlier in the month with Game Night, where individuals practiced their communication, attention to task, and turn taking using card games, board games, and video games! It was a great opportunity to build social connections while having a ton of fun. 🎲 👾

Next up was Star Wars Night, complete with a themed scavenger hunt, crafts, target practice, and more! Clients explored teamwork, problem-solving, and shared interests in a supportive and engaging environment. 🚀🌌

BST’s skill labs are more than just fun! They help individuals build confidence, strengthen friendships, and develop meaningful social and emotional skills that enrich their daily lives. Enjoy some photos from the month!
