My name is Dr. Patti Jordan, and I'm a lifelong St Joseph County resident. I grew up not far from Memorial Hospital in South Bend, and always dreamed of becoming a medical doctor who would serve her community with not only top tier medical expertise, but with a level of profound care. For the last 40 years, I have done just that as a Board Certified M.D.
For the last 4 years I have also had the honor to serve St Joseph County as its first elected female Coroner. While I'm proud of my team and our accomplishments - including bringing the county its first morgue - the thing I'm most proud of is my office's ability to provide closure to so many families.
Having the Coroner show up at your home, or the home of a loved one, is one of the worst things that can happen to a family because by its very nature, it means that your family has experienced an unexpected loss. While my team and I may enter your life at its most difficult moment our goal remains the same -- to provide your loved one with the best possible end of life.
This November I am seeking re-election to an office for which I care so deeply. I'd be honored by your vote.
