Hridayam Satyam means "the heart is the truth." Our hearts inherently know and express the truth. However, in our fast-paced world, we often find ourselves swayed by distractions and external influences, pulling us away from this inner wisdom. This February, I encourage you to dedicate your focus to Heart-Centered Living—a practice that encourages us to align our actions, thoughts, and habits with the wisdom of our hearts.
Today’s world is designed to divert our attention, making it difficult to listen to and recognize our truth. The noise of social media, endless tasks, and external demands can overshadow the quiet yet powerful voice within. By stepping away from these distractions, we make room to uncover what truly matters.
I am dedicated to reclaiming my power, transforming my habits, and realigning with the truth within. Living heart-centered is a commitment to making choices that foster joy, connection, and authenticity.

Both body and mind often prefer the path of least resistance. Yet, this can leave us unfulfilled. There may be days we may opt to sleep in rather than attend yoga or spend time at the gym. We might choose Netflix over dinner plans with loved ones. This is natural as we need to decompress and retreat from the demands of our schedules and slow down and rest. Yet if we struggle with lacking time and joy, consider how much of this is within our control?
Heart-centered living involves making small, intentional sacrifices for long-term fulfillment. This may mean forming new habits and patterns, and in doing so take discipline and determination. Perhaps you want to join a new class, reshape your offerings, learn a new specialty, get a health coach to help you achieve your health and lifestyle goals?
What is the cost of aligning with your truth?
- Is it worth rising early to care for your body and mind?
- Is it worth turning off the TV or setting aside your phone for meaningful time with friends?
- Is it worth saying no to draining activities and yes to what energizes you?
- Is it worth investing in your skillset to learn new modalities in order to create a heart centered livelihood?
Joy and fulfillment are investments. What are you ultimately paying for if you choose not to align with your heart’s truth?

Every day presents an opportunity to listen to our hearts and make choices that honor our highest selves. By choosing alignment over distraction, we pave the way to a fulfilling, authentic, and joy-filled life.
