Meet Savannah — the BCBA behind Brick Road Therapies

Just like the yellow brick road, Savannah believes the journey matters just as much as the destination. With a background as a Licensed Special Education Teacher since 2013 and a BCBA since 2019, she guides families through a care path built on compassion, empowerment, and meaningful progress.

Her specialties include:

•Trauma-assumed care
•Severe problem behavior
•Play-based learning
•Family-centered treatment

Savannah serves the South Bend area and surrounding communities, creating a space where children and families feel supported, seen, and involved in every step of the process.

She accepts Medicaid and commercial insurance, provides in-home ABA, and is currently welcoming new families.

Get ready to gobble up some holiday fun! 🍎🦃

This week on the yellow brick road, we're getting crafty with an adorable and edible Apple Turkey! This is a fantastic activity for sparking imagination and fine motor skills.

Here’s what you’ll need to create your own feathered friend:

🍂 A fresh apple (the body of your turkey!)
🍂 Toothpicks
🍂 Gumdrops (for colorful feathers and details)
🍂 Raisins (great for eyes or other small features)
🍂 Mini Marshmallows (perfect for a fluffy tail or head)

Time to get creative!

1. Start with the base: Your apple is the turkey's body.
2. Feather frenzy: Use toothpicks to attach gumdrops to the back of your apple to create a vibrant fan of turkey feathers.
3. Face it: Add raisins for eyes and maybe a small gumdrop for a beak, securing them with toothpicks.
4. Legs and more! Get imaginative with marshmallows and gumdrops, using toothpicks to form legs, wings, or even a wobbly wattle!

There's no wrong way to make your apple turkey unique – let your imagination be your guide! Share your amazing creations with us using ! 🌈
