As sponsors of the giraffe feeding station at the Potawatomi Zoo, we’ve developed a keen interest in our spotty long-necked friends.🦒 🦒 🦒 So when we asked Dr. Tyler McGregor (SBO sports medicine surgeon and Notre Dame Volleyball team physician) to learn about giraffes’ orthopedic concerns, he sprinted straight for the zoo—and took freshman members of the Notre Dame Volleyball team along for support. ☘️ 🏐 ☘️

Watch as Dr. McGregor quizzes zookeeper Brooke on the joint problems giraffes face, whether they take supplements and how you diagnose orthopedic issues on a leg that’s way too big to fit into our MRI machines. 🤔
