Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disorder that affects about 18 million people worldwide. 🌎 The disease develops when a malfunctioning immune system attacks healthy tissues, affecting joint lining and damaging the bone beneath. 🦴

Besides causing joint pain, swelling and inflammation, the condition can damage other parts of the body as well (including the skin, eyes, lungs, heart and blood vessels).

Specializing in sports medicine with an emphasis on arthroscopic, reconstructive and joint replacement surgery, Dr. PJ Warmoth joined us in August 2024. 👏 Working primarily from our Elkhart office, Dr. Warmoth has already earned praise for his attentive care and professionalism. ❤️

Dr. Sam Kimmell, a South Bend native, is an even more recent arrival, having joined in May 2025. 🙌 Specializing in interventional pain medicine as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Kimmell works out of our South Bend, Elkhart, and Mishawaka offices—and is enthusiastic about giving back to the community in which he was born and raised. 🏡
