Join us this World Diabetes Day, let’s advocate for better awareness, stronger support, and healthier communities, together. 💙 Here's a few tips to prevent and manage diabetes care with your provider:

1. Get screened. Regular blood glucose checks can detect diabetes early.
2. Adopt a balanced lifestyle. Healthy eating, regular exercise, and maintaining a healthy weight make a difference.
3. Follow your care plan. Take medications as prescribed, keep scheduled visits, and discuss any concerns with your provider.
4. Stay informed. Know the signs of high or low blood sugar and when to seek help.

🌟 Faculty Spotlight: Jesse Hite, NP 🌟

At Halifax Internal Medicine, we’re proud to have providers who truly care for our patients and community. Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Jesse Hite, NP.

Jesse is a Halifax County native who brings years of experience and compassion to her role. She began her nursing journey in 2005 and has served in many areas of healthcare, from hospital settings to hospice care. In 2023, she joined Halifax Internal Medicine as a Family Nurse Practitioner, where she continues to provide patient-centered, personalized care.

Her dedication to helping patients feel supported and heard is what makes Jesse such an important part of our team. We’re grateful for her commitment to health and wellness in our community! 💙
