The Halifax County Rescue Squad is looking for motivated individuals 16 years of age and up to join our Junior/ Associate / Regular Member Program!

If you’ve ever wanted to make a real difference in your community, this is your chance. As a member, you’ll gain hands-on experience alongside EMS professionals, learn life-saving skills, and build leadership that will stay with you for life.

HCRS had an amazing time partnering with YOVASO and VCU Project Impact yesterday to help spread awareness to the youth in our community about the dangers of impaired/distracted driving! We were honored to hear the stories of several guest speakers as well. A very impactful event that came together beautifully with the help of South Boston Fire Department & Company and Virginia State Police. We look forward to working together again in the future!

Students at Halifax County High School got a stark look at the dangers of distracted and impaired driving during a realistic crash demonstration.
