Now That Legalized Adult-Use Ma*****na is in Virginia, Why Should You Get a Virginia Medical Ma*****na Card?
One of the main benefits is that it allows patients to purchase ma*****na directly from the dispensary. Recreational sale of ma*****na will not begin until 2024, and with new leadership in Virginia, the recreational sale of ma*****na may be pushed back even further.

The Virginia Cannabis Authority has said they would like to move the recreational sales date of ma*****na up to 2023, but so far, that does not seem likely. Even when recreational sales of ma*****na begin, you will receive preferential treatment if you have a medical ma*****na card because you have documentation proving you are using ma*****na for medical reasons, which means if there is a shortage of medical cannabis, it will default to medical patients before recreational ma*****na users. Have more questions? Call us anytime! Why wait for better health?

When you see the doctor, a prescription will generally be written or sent electronically for your routine medication to last until your next follow up.

It is patient’s responsibility to keep up with the follow‐up appointment to obtain enough medication on time. To minimize errors and for your safety, we discourage medication refills in between scheduled appointments.

Please call our office at least three (3) business days before you expect to run out of medication. Our provider may refill medication only enough to cover until the next appointment.

Our provider may refuse to refill any medication if they believe it is clinically necessary to evaluate the patient before prescribing medication.

Should you need a prior authorization from insurance completed by our office for your prescription, please allow up to 72 hours for completion.

A police report is required if a medication refill is requested for a controlled medication due to being lost or stolen.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at (434) 572-8921 Ext 112. Thank you!

Join us TODAY Friday, February 17 virtually at 12:00 p.m. ET to get heart smart!

Be smart when it comes to your heart. Improving heart health literacy can help us make healthy lifestyle choices that keep healthy.

Join experts from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) The Heart Truth® program and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Million Hearts® initiative for a dialogue about what Americans should know to keep their hearts healthy. They’ll help you improve your own heart-health literacy by discussing what causes heart disease, what to know about your own individual risk factors, how you can prevent it, and what questions you should be asking your healthcare providers.

Following the discussion, you’ll learn about resources available from The Heart Truth that can help you be “heart smart” and take action to prevent heart disease.
