Recently, Sentara employees came together to make a difference in our community!

On Friday, September 19, our team rolled up their sleeves at the Healthy Harvest Community Garden distribution center, lending a hand during the annual Day of Caring.

On Saturday, September 20, Sentara employees participated in the Southern VA Heart Walk, supporting exercise, wellness, and raising awareness about heart disease.

We are proud of our team’s dedication to improving health every day, both inside and outside our facilities.

A heartfelt thank you to all employees who volunteered their time and energy at these events—you are truly making a difference!

Sentara Volens Family Medicine will be closed for the remainder of today, Monday, September 29, due to facility issues.

Our staff will be contacting all patients who had appointments scheduled today to assist with rescheduling.

🎉 As part of our annual United Way Drive, we hosted a fun-filled Bingo Night for our team members and their families — all in support of an amazing cause!

Proceeds from this year’s drive will benefit:
• Local Fire & Rescue Squads
• SPCA
• YMCA
• Tri-County Community Action
• Halifax County Cancer Association

Everyone had a great time for a great cause! 💛

🎗️ On Sunday, August 31st, Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital was honored to participate in the International Overdose Awareness Day event at the Halifax County Fairgrounds.

It was a powerful afternoon of awareness, remembrance, and recovery as our community came together to:

As part of Sentara’s ongoing commitment to building a healthier, stronger community, we were proud to stand alongside local organizations, families, and advocates to raise awareness and provide support.
