Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital is now accepting applications for the 2026 Junior Volunteer Program. This program is a wonderful opportunity for motivated and community‑minded high school students to gain experience in a healthcare setting while giving back in a meaningful way.
Program Details:
• Program dates: June 10 – July 29, 2026
• Applicants must be 14–18 years old and currently in high school
• Applications are due by May 1, 2026
Junior Volunteers support a variety of hospital departments, learn valuable skills, and make a positive impact on patients and staff throughout the summer.

The Sentara Community Care team was proud to participate in the Free Community Health & Wellness Fair held at the Washington Coleman Community Center on Wednesday, April 15th.

During the event, our team provided free wellness screenings to community members, helping individuals better understand their health and take proactive steps toward well-being.
