This is our small group training offering (4 humans max!) and as we head full force into spring...it’s the perfect time to hop in!! 💪🏻

✔️ FUNCTIONAL & SCALABLE PROGRAMMING: group programming that considers what feels good RIGHT NOW (we’ll start where you’re at!) and what makes you feel STRONG and empowered!

✔️ COMMUNITY: the vibes are supportive, welcoming, inclusive, and centered around raising each other up!

✔️ ALL THE SKILLS & GYM CONFIDENCE: you’re getting set up to take your movement anywhere and everywhere! you’re going to get darn good at setting up your equipment (ie load a barbell, adjust the TRX, set up the cable machine for different movements, etc), navigating a shared studio space, working in on shared equipment, efficiently managing your workout and rest time, tuning into your body to know when to progress/regress a movement, and asking questions about anything and everything you need help with!

💫This is the perfect space to try all the things things, feel safe asking questions, and find movement you LOVE that makes you feel like a bada$$😘

This isn’t a workout plan. Or a habit stacking course. Or a communal self love quest. Or a “6 weeks to the new you” journey. Or a “You don’t exercise? We can fix that” how-to 🙅🏼‍♀️

Nah, there is plenty of that out there and it’s just NOT it, right? 😵‍💫

I hear you. And I get it. So instead, this space is for YOU:

♥️The human whose strength and abilities has been predecided in the eyes of trainers/instructors/peers/family/complete strangers solely on how their body appears.

♥️The human who is navigating a transition in life and isn’t sure how movement fits anymore.

♥️The human who is dead tired of the over “healthification”, the oppressive systems keeping us shrinking, the 20 yr old influencing shouting that we all have the 24 hours in a day, the polarizing right/wrong - should/shouldn’t - always/nevers, the grocery hauls, the “clean” eats, the before & afters…

♥️The human who wants a space to explore their own relationship to their body and movement by naming their movement story, deep diving into the diet culture that surrounds them, discover what reconnecting to their body and redefining strength could look like, and creating forward motion to invite movement into their life in an authentic and sustainable way.

👉🏻”lift heavy (but not too heavy; wouldn’t want you to get too bulky now would we) for an hour or it doesn’t count”
👉🏻”not seeing results? You must not be adding extra protein to your chicken/taking this organic raw supplement/eating cleanly enough (can you even pronounce those ingredients?)/wanting it badly enough/working hard enough/taking it seriously enough/letting it consume your life enough”

We don’t need more eat like me/move like me/look like me garbage, right?! 🫣

Reclaiming Movement is our 6-week body inclusive group course that is centered around YOUR relationship with movement. Not what you “should” be doing. Not another version of what you’ve already tried. Not how to optimize or track or transform or change or fix.

Instead: What’s your story? Where did it get complicated? What would it look like to untangle that without all the diet culture BS? What would it look like if you decided what being strong meant? What would it look like if you made the rules? How would it feel to have a solid community holding you?

HBD TGCF 🥳 Today we turn 5!

I’ve written and backspaced, written and backspaced, written and backspaced for a while now...

And nothing ever seems quite right when you’re searching for the words to thank a community of people for continuously helping you realize your dreams.

I know that might be the cheesiest thing to say EVER.

But when you’re just one person who created something from scratch with only pure passion and unwavering hope that it might work out (even if just for a little while), it feels pretty damn right to say it.

Whether you simply follow this account or you’ve been a loyal client for all 5 years. I’m so grateful for you ♥️

I’m so excited to see Take Good Care Fitness continue to evolve, be better, and as always, remain a space where all humans can feel strong.

Over a century of being told our bodies are wrong. That literally ingesting m*ther f*cking TAPE WORMS to get smaller is better than existing in the body we have. I mean W T A F. SMDH 😠

They want us tired. Small. Compliant. Unaware. They always have.

So let’s WAKE UP and be tired OF it instead. Let’s be fueled by rage that the system is shrinking our community. again (or…they never stopped…).

That’s the act of rebellion ♥️

If you need an action item…I got you 🫶🏻

Here’s a little micro-rejection:

Repeat the following every time you’re having a rough go in your skin:

“Having a body is hard. I might not love mine every day. And that’s OK. My body is my home and existing as I am is enough.”

Influencers & celebrities & gen pop are promoting it.

Influencers & celebrities & gen pop are raging against it.

But let’s not forget: the bigger systems asking us to shrink are the problem.

✔️The patriarchy is the problem.

✔️The oppressive systems rooted in racism and misogyny are the problem.

❌Women’s choices about their own bodies is not the problem.

❌We are never the problem.

So I’ll be over here dying on these hills always:

⛰️Commenting on someone’s body is never the move.

⛰️ Respect everyone’s body autonomy - You don’t have to understand or agree and no one owes you an explanation.

⛰️ The system that wants us small is big, loud, attractive and powerful - this is who we should be mad at. This is who we should fight against.

Challenge the system - don’t shame the women 🫶🏻
