Please allow me to (re)introduce TGCF’s first ever community based course 🥳

Reclaiming Movement is a 6 week body-inclusive group course - Inside this unique community you’ll have the space and guidance to unpack where your beliefs about movement and your body originate. Through self-paced modules and live community sessions over our 6 weeks together, you’ll work towards finding clarity to redefine what strength means to you and identify your aligned path forward.

I promise you this isn’t just another workout plan—in fact, no movement is involved at all😱

This is the internal work that all workout programs skip: the real, messy, vulnerable, curious work of unpacking why movement stopped feeling good in the first place and how to get closer to a place of empowered autonomy regarding our bodies and movement choices.

I’m so honored to be offering this course - the pilot round was nothing short of amazing. The founding community showed up, got SO real, connected & shared, and walked away with some significant shifts. They also played an extremely impactful role in the evolution of this course and what it will become - and for that, I am very grateful ◡̈

Week 3 of Reclaiming Movement is centered around body reconnection and last night we dove into Body Trust.

This session was incredibly powerful. People shared what feels challenging, confusing, and sometimes impossible about trusting their bodies - especially when it comes to movement.

Here’s what came up:

✨ How can I trust my body when I feel like it has betrayed/failed me?
✨ How can I trust my body when I have been taught to push through movement at whatever cost?
✨ How can I trust my body when I’ve learned to respond with “I’m fine” when something doesn’t feel right?
✨ How can I trust my body when I’m not sure what it is telling me?
✨ How can I trust my body when I’ve learned to ignore hunger cues?
✨ How can I trust my body when I’m not sure I know the difference between actual pain and appropriate fatigue/discomfort?
✨ How can I trust my body when throughout my life I’ve been expected to continue with movement even if I didn’t like it.
✨ How can I trust my body when moving often imitates a panic attack?

These are the real, hard, honest questions 🫶🏻

This conversation was so impactful and the vulnerability of this group is blowing my mind. Listening to these shares and reflecting on my own experiences with body trust has only further proven the importance (and difficulty) of this work.

When you’ve spent years learning to override your body. When you’ve been taught that your body’s signals are inconvenient or wrong. Oof, it’s A LOT.

I certainly don’t have all the answers but I do know that naming it and connecting with folks who are in it is an amazing start.

Last night’s Reclaiming Movement community session was allllll about the dark side of the fitness world: DIET CULTURE and how it reinforces the most challenging pieces of our movement story.

I left the session feeling so in awe of the humans in our group - they shared. they got honest. they got angry. they swore. they connected 🙏🏻



The impact is massive and we need to do better 🫶🏻
