ℹ️🌿 THE TRAUMA MAY HAVE STARTED AT CHILDHOOD, BUT IT DOESN’T END THERE |

Upon speaking with others, combing through my own trauma, and helping others, I’ve noticed a trend that I really want everyone to think about. When we’ve become adults, we’ve come to the conclusion that our lives have been impacted by CPTSD, the automatic response is to dive into our childhoods.

Therapists go there, research goes there, everything goes to our childhood. And it is obviously the right place to start. But we tend to overlook our adulthood.

The experiences that were traumatic in our childhoods that brought us to where we are now, didn’t end when we grew up and moved out.

💚✨ PANDAS/PANS Awareness Day — The Story Behind the Movement ✨💚

In 2008, a brave 12-year-old boy named Stefanos Mitsogiorgakis suddenly developed severe OCD, tics, and even lost some of his math skills after a strep infection 😔. Doctors diagnosed him with PANDAS, a condition many had never even heard of at the time.

Despite powerful treatments — plasmapheresis, IVIG, and antibiotics 💉 — Stefanos would get better, only to relapse again. The Mayo Clinic later discovered deep infections in his tonsils that were causing those relapses 😢.

His mom, Christine, refused to give up 💪. She reached out to Assembly woman Nicole Malliotakis, who was deeply moved by their story and took action. Together, they helped establish an official PANDAS Awareness Day in New York — approved by then-Governor Cuomo 🎗️👏.

Christine said, “I’ve never hidden Stefanos. Our community knows how much loss he’s suffered.”
Their courage and openness gave hope to so many families, lighting the way for awareness, understanding, and change 🌟.

How much do I love this article? So much it’s beautifully written, almost poetic and it describes the shortcomings of modern psychology and sociology. It calls for exactly what I provide. Individualized care that takes into account the human beings, physical condition, emotional state, social challenges, And everything else that I can possibly learn from them in order to treat them. Yes, that kind of treatment does exist. I provide it
