Costume ideas for kids with special needs:
· Autism/sensory friendly costumes:
o Adding construction paper or other materials to a t-shirt can transform any shirt into a creative idea. A yellow shirt can become a pizza, a black shirt can become a night sky, and a purple shirt can become a bunch of grapes!
o Pajama sets with characters on them or of a superhero costume are easy to find and can then become part of their nighttime pajama rotation!
o Regular clothes in Halloween colors: a Halloween themed t-shirt or even just orange sweatpants can do the trick and get your child the treats!
· Adaptive costumes for children with extra equipment:
§ Adding a little cardboard or other crafty materials can take your child’s costume to the next level.

o Pirate ship on the ocean
