2021 Dee PT Great Diaper Dump

2021 Dee PT Great Diaper Dump Dee Physical Therapy is proud to announce the 2021 Great Diaper Dump, an effort to support the families of the Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS)!

Dee Physical Therapy is proud to announce The Great Diaper Drive of 2016, which collects diapers for families assisted by the Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS). This effort began in 2007 when Jason Fitzgerald, Dee PT Exercise Physiologist and Clinical Coordinator, met with the staff at COTS and realized the astounding cost and unmet demand for disposable diapers. Since then we at Dee PT have been able to collect more than 215,000 diapers for COTS families in need. Now with your support, we hope to exceed last year's goal of 40,000 diapers! We will have three diaper drop-off sites:
Dee Physical Therapy at 23 San Remo Dr., South Burlington

Dee Physical Therapy at the Field House, 166 Athletic Dr., Shelburne

Dee Physical Therapy at 52 Farmall Drive, Hinesburg

Diapers can be dropped off between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and between 7 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Fridays. The drive officially begins October 19th and runs through December 22nd. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us:

The diaper drive ends today and even though we hit our goal yesterday, thanks to an amazingly generous donation, we never stop there. After much discussion with Seventh Generation they found 125,000 diapers in their Boston warehouse they would donate. So we just needed to figure out how to get them, our amazing friends at Booska Movers came through again this year and are transporting them to us. We can't even begin to believe that brings our total OVER 211,000 DIAPERS!!!!!!! What a year friends, thank you all for being part of this very important event. ❤️

On Tuesday we were asked by our friend Evan Stainman how many diapers we had received, which at the time was around 60,000. With only a few days left of the drive, we weren’t sure if we would make our 80,000 diaper goal. Evan, and his amazing therapy dog Hank, said that the goal must be met, and they are donating over 20,000 diapers!!!!!!

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and joy. Gratitude and joy for Evan and Hank, as well as gratitude and joy for all of you. No matter the donation, 1 diaper or 20,000 diapers, YOU are the reason this drive continues to be a success. YOU are helping to ensure that families don't have to choose between diapers and food. YOU are helping your fellow Vermonters. Thank you for continuing to support this effort to help our fellow community members. You are helping your neighbors, your children's friends, and strangers' children. The demographic served by this drive are the most innocent and precious, and what we’ve all done will allow Committee on Temporary Shelter and their community partners to supply diapers to all who need them for 2020! We love and appreciate all of you, and are so pleased to announce with all of your help, we have surpassed our goal of 80,000 diapers!!!!!
