For those who don't yet know, I've some big news... that is equal parts exciting and bittersweet: on May 1st, I'll be leaving Fit2Perform and Ethos Athletics and stepping into a new chapter β€” a full-time private studio nestled inside Family First Chiropractic (Full-time! Wahoo!)

I'll be joining forces with my friend and colleague, Lara of White Tiger Healing. We move through the world in similar ways, share a vision for what healing work can look like, and are already brewing some delicious offerings together β€” both group and individual. More on that soon. Consider this your teaser 🀭

I'm also bringing more shape to soul purpose coaching sessions and beginning to explore integration packages that weave together body, energy, and coaching work β€” stay tuned.

I'd like to part with some gratitude-- To Erin Adams of Fit2perform β€” thank you for taking me on as a newly minted massage therapist and giving me room to stretch my wings. To the physical therapy team and Jeremy of 802 Chiropractic β€” you were a genuinely stellar crew to work alongside. A lot more goes into sessions than meets the eye ...

Every person, every body is unique with their individual experiences... I take it all into account---past, present, future, when working with someone.
I do the prep work before and after sessions so I can be completely dropped into presence during the session, feeling confident in my base knowledge and guided by intuitive wisdom.

I love this work.
I love how each session is different based on what's presenting on and given day, at any given moment.
I love connecting with folx in a genuine, deeper way in order to get at the heart of what they desire and need for support, healing and transformation.
I love the collaborative process.

Look at this magnificent creature.
I was in retreat last weekend with some incredible creators, healers, space-holders, and magical sentient beings.

It's not always easy to take space out of our busy lives to... Just be. To attend to our inner world. To notice the beauty that is in and around us. All. The. Time!

But let me tell you ... When you can give yourself the gift of "checking out" (of habitual, auto pilot, mass media, survival mode...) to "check in" (with presence, nature, your deep inner self...), it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE.
It's not luxury.
It's your life-line.
It's critical.
It's critical for surviving these times.
It's critical for remembering our essence, our humanity (we are not machines meant to work till we break).

The last few weeks have been a lot... I've found myself, on a number of occasions, in survival mode and resorting to old coping structures...

I took today to ground and reset and as I'm preparing for tomorrow's full moon circle, I am reminded of a prompt that I gave a while back in anticipation of this very moment...I asked what would be the thing(s) that would serve as a tether/resourcing/lifeline that you can come back to again and again and again when s**t gets real? When life be lifing... When overwhelm and exhausting and imposter syndrome, frustration, disillusionment, etc... Get stuck on repeat... When the nervous system is tapped clean out...
For me, it was my choice word/theme for the times:

Devotion.

A Returning to what I have chosen to devote my energy, time and resources toward :
being the healthiest, kindest (with boundaries), truth-speaking, passionate, courageous, confident version of myself. A devotion to my path, my craft, and my community. A devotion to the fullness of being--showing up for it all.

So today I made soup. I did reiki on myself. I took an Epsom salt bath. I journaled. I followed up on a workshop with an email to participants. I watered my plants. I stretched and foam rolled my tight and aching muscles...I considered a workout, but my body said it needed rest. I listened.

This is a reminder to be kind to yourself. Have grace and patience with your process. Return to what fuels you. Listen to what your body and your systems are communicating to you. Honor yourself. You are enough.

Been doing a lot of reflecting lately...
Reflecting on connections...
small (and big) kindnesses...
The necessary practice of celebrating small victories along the way to a dream realized...
What community looks like...
What goes into "becoming"...
What essential lessons I've learned from things "not working out" (everything is purposeful)...
Practicing the "sacred pause"...
The arrow concept--an arrow must be pulled backwards to be propelled forward... There is aiming, honing, settling, steadying breath that happens in that retraction...
Gratitude -- always returning to gratitude...
Devotion -- to the path, to love, to the health of the mind, body, spirit...
Balance -- Finding balance between checking in and out (there's a lot to track these days), between action and rest, between in
Discernment -- where are boundaries needing to be refreshed or strengthened? Are there instances where boundaries are actually being used to keep me small and are beginning to feel constricting or stagnant... May be time to revisit...

A note on this beautiful sign -- This was a labor of love gifted to me by a client who began dabbling in woodworking after he retired from engineering.
