Friday, in celebration of National Day to Create, our residents at Valley Center participated in decorating a variety of rocks. It was truly a joy to see their creativity shine through as they painted and personalized each stone.

Everyone involved was thrilled with the activity and it was a fantastic way to engage their artistic side. One resident even expressed, “I could do this all day!” We’re planning to use these beautifully decorated rocks to adorn our flower beds, adding a touch of personalized beauty to our outdoor spaces.🪨🌈🌸🌺

We’re thrilled to share that the Valley Center Garden Club has officially started and our residents were so enthusiastic about getting their hands dirty!

They’ve successfully planted a variety of delicious vegetables, including tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and even some pumpkins! We also have a beautiful arrangement of flowers blossoming. It’s wonderful to see the joy and fulfillment that spending time in nature and sunshine brings to everyone’s spirit!🌷🦋☀️🌻

Valley Center is reaching out with a special project close to our hearts. Valley Center will be starting a Garden Club and we need your help! Our dream is to give our residents a beautiful garden space for them to enjoy — a peaceful place to sit, socialize, and reconnect with nature.�

We’re looking for donations of supplies (soil, plants, wood, tools, etc.) and/or volunteers who can help with the building and planting. If you, or your organization, are able to contribute — big or small — please reach out! We’d be so grateful. �

✨Join us in congratulating Lisa Snyder for 32 Years with Genesis Healthcare!✨

Lisa began her journey at Dunbar Center as a floor nurse. From there, she has worked in various positions from care planning nurse to admissions. Today, she serves as Director of Post Acute Partnerships. This position allows her to work closely with hospital partners to ensure a smooth transition for patients and residents to our local Genesis facilities.

Helping patients and families is what fuels Lisa's passion. She states, "I love being a resource and expert in this field. Seeing the look of relief on patient's faces, knowing I can help get them the care they need is so rewarding."

This weekend, we had the absolute honor of celebrating our beloved resident Betty J. as she turned 100 years young! 💐💯

Surrounded by her loving family, Betty was showered with joy, hugs, and happy memories. Of course, no celebration is complete without cake — and we made sure it was as sweet as the guest of honor herself! 🎂❤️
