Amber Delany! Congratulations Amber 🏆🏆

Amber has been with Upstate Care for 5 years now. She has been working in the health industry her entire career as a CNA and PCA. Currently, Amber is caring for several clients and wearing a multitude of caregiving “hats”.

Amber takes the initiative to go above and beyond with each and every client to advocate for all of their concerns and find resolutions to roadblocks. She communicates with UCC and family members of clients flawlessly and fluently. She has jumped in on a multitude of difficult cases and situations and handled them with grace and compassion.

In Ambers spare time she enjoys traveling, especially by car with her family. Family had always been Ambers number one priority. She’s a wonderful mother of 2, and Auntie of 2. She also enjoys nature , hiking , animals, a good cup of coffee.

Amber will be receiving a $50.00 gift card to the venue of her choice. Thank you Amber for your dedication and compassion to all of our clients.

🥇🥇CAREGIVER OF THE MONTH AWARD🥇🥇

Meet Muneera Morrison. Muneera has been with UCC for 4 years. She is an LPN graduated that has worked in geriatrics, psych, TBI, and much more.

Muneera is currently attending one of our 24/7 cases and is constantly picking up shifts and doing extra to not only support our client , but to support our team. She’s the backbone in any care setting she’s been placed in.

Here is a snippet in Muneera’s own words on what she enjoys to do on her downtime-

“I love to spend time with family. I have 2 kids that keep me busy. Both are involved with many activities. My favorite hat to wear is the one of a mom. I love nursing and providing care to make a difference. The gratification I receive from nursing has been unmatched. I went to Syracuse and the death of my brother brought me back to Albany where I attended and graduated from BOCES then on to Maria college. I love sports, especially basketball. I played basketball on the collegiate level as well. I’m a die hard Warriors fan. I also love to read.”

🤩🤩🤩Caregiver Highlight🤩🤩🤩

Meet Kelly J. Kelly is a certified PCA available to work in Albany, Schenectady, Rensellear and Saratoga county. Kelly works both days and overnights. She has been with UCC since 2018 and has worked with AZ/ dementia, Parkinson’s, COPD, diabetics, CA, hospice and end of life and much more.

Kelly enjoys spending time with her daughter in her time off. She is also an avid biker. Not the pedal kind either🏍️🏍️. She is often found on the weekends doing charity rides with her bike club for all sorts of non for profits and local families.

🌟🌟🌟Nursing Highlight🌟🌟🌟

Meet Kim. Kim is a Licensed Practical Nurse available for work in Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties.

Kim was a LPN for Community Care hospice for 22 years. Prior to that she worked for Samaritan hospital in the med/surg unit for 10 years. Kim is new to UCC and we are thrilled to have her. With her vast experience and knowledge she will make a great addition to our roster.

🥇🥇🥇Caregiver of the Month Award 🥇🥇🥇
This month UCC would like to honor….

Jene Benson. Jene featured in the picture with our client Rocco (permission granted for feature from client), has been with Rock for over two years.

We were lucky enough to meet Rocco’s family two years ago when he was residing in the Washington center greatly wanting to come home. Rocco was awarded hours through the CDPAP program for him to be able to come home. His family was unable to find caregivers to fill the hours and that is when UCC. Stepped in with Jene Benson.

Jene registered with CD CHOICES to keep Rocco’s home care in his budget. And stepped up to take on a full time lead caregiver roll with Rock. With this commitment we were able to successfully bring Rock home where he has remained happily for the past two years.

Jene handles a multitude of tasks for Rocco such as his wound care, all his personal care, communicating effectively with medical doctors, UCC, and family and so much more. Because Rocco is a paraplegic and completely depends on Jene to be able to get in and out of bed she has fully dedicated herself to only Rocco. He never has to worry about her being late or not showing up. Her attendance has remained 100 percent unflawed for TWO YEARS.

Jene also goes above and beyond and has arranged for specialized transportation for Rock to be able to attend his HS reunion, patched up and seal coated his driveway (I know, RIGHT?!), gardens with him in the summer and helped construct a porch plant archway. She does her absolute best to maintain independence and quality of life at home for Rock each and every day. Simply put , Jene has been Rocco’s “rock” for stability at home.

Jene will be awarded a 50.00 gift certificate to a local venue of her choice by UCC. Congratulations to Jene ! Thank you so much for your unwavering dedication and support. We appreciate you.
