A message from our clinical team:

Glaucoma is a sneaky condition in which the optic nerve is damaged, resulting in permanent loss of vision. Although it can happen suddenly, most cases are slow, gradual, and painless, therefore very difficult to notice.

Glaucoma is often, but not always, caused by high pressure from the fluid that fills the eye. Everyone naturally has different pressure- regular eye exams tell the doctor what pressure is normal for you.

Glaucoma is treatable, but because damage is permanent, prevention is EVERYTHING.

Even if your vision is OK now, let's make sure it stays that way!

🎄 Festive Fun at Village Eye Care! 🥂
With Christmas right around the corner, we paused our busy schedule to celebrate with a classic Holiday Party for our small but mighty team here at Village Eye Care!

The night was filled with laughter, delicious food, cookies, and a wonderful time reflecting on the year we've shared as colleagues and as a part of this amazing community.

We are so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work in the medical field for such a bright and welcoming community. Days like this really highlight our appreciation for our patients—without your trust and support, we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are today! Thank you for choosing us. 🙏

🎄 A Weekend of Community & Cheer! 🏃‍♀️

What a wonderfully jolly (and busy!) few days it's been for us here at Village Eye Care! We loved getting out and supporting our community with two fantastic events.

🌟 Friday: Spreading Cheer at the Christmas Stroll
On December 5th, our Technician Liz and Dr. Morin took the reins and spread some crafty holiday joy during the South Hadley Annual Christmas Stroll!

- Sipping hot cocoa ☕

- Making fun eyeglass crafts 👓

- Connecting with our community!

A huge thank you to the South Hadley Granby Chamber Of Commerce for letting us be a part of such a cheerful event!

🍫 Sunday: The Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage
On December 7th, Dr. Morin, Technician Liz, and Optician Michelle braved the cold for the super fun Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage

We were so excited to support this amazing cause, but we didn't expect the experience to be this incredible! Our Optician Michelle summed it up best:

"It was super fun, for an amazing cause, and we played a part in raising over $900,000 for charity!"

Needless to say, we will definitely be lacing up our sneakers again next year!

We truly love these opportunities to join our community in social gatherings. Being outside in the cold isn't so bad when you feel the warmth of the entire community behind you! We hope to continue providing for our patients, families, and towns for many years to come.

With last night's frosty dusting, we thought it was the perfect day to announce that we will be attending this year's Holiday Stroll! ❄️🎄

We'll be bringing our usual jolly selves, along with fun holiday crafts and great goods for everyone who stops by. We are super excited to see members of our community... and hopefully, Santa! 🎅
