Happy Birthday, Ron!

Thank you for being you and all you do for South Hero!

✨A very special day at the orchard today —
today we celebrate the root of our family tree and the heart of the orchard, Ron Hackett. Happy 90th Birthday! 🍎🌳❤️ What a blessing to celebrate such a milestone surrounded by family, love, and the orchard he’s so proud of. His love for the land and family has helped shape everything we do here. ✨

🍂Fall fun for the whole family is waiting for you here at Hackett’s Orchard. As always we have plenty of pick your own and pre picked apples available, as well as all the other Vermont fall treats.🍎

We had a wonderful Annual Membership Meeting this past Sunday at Lakewood Links Golf Club!

For the first time since the pandemic began, over 55 CIDER members gathered for a formal dinner and business meeting.

Amidst the excitement was our annual awards presentation. This years winner(s) of the CIDER Green Apple "Grand Isler of the Year" away was none other than our very own CIDER ramps crew, represented at the meeting by Bob Buermann, Dolf Wirsing, Jim Falby, Ray Kirk, Frank Driscoll, Bob Krebs, and Tom Speyer!

This year we launched a new award, The Bengt & Claudia Geelmuyden Award, honoring a staff member who has gone above and beyond for their neighbors and served in the true spirit of CIDER. This years winner was fitting of that spirit and has provided countless neighbors with support for a dozen plus years: Deb Piché!

A big thank you to CIDER VP Marie Kilbride, Member at Large Missy Siner, and board member Doug DiSabito for leading and presenting during the business meeting.

Looking forward to another great year here at CIDER!

What a wonderful event yesterday at 3rd Annual CIDER Open! What started as a small little event the first year with 50 participants, had 17 full teams this year, large enough to fill the whole barn!

Big shout out to our community partners and sponsors, especially our premium event sponsor Gotshall Heating Service LLC!

Gifts and prizes were provided by Blue Paddle Bistro, Two Heroes - Brewery, and Bluff Point Golf Course, with financial support from Grand Isle Upholstery and Kinney Insurance Agency!

This years winners, came into the clubhouse with a 59, and we were happy to see a perennial attendee, the group from SmartTemp Solutions Inc., bring home this years big prize!
