A wonderful initiative is happening in Utah that furthers a path towards more effective treatment options for PTSD, starting with our beloved Veterans.

Yesterday, HB0390 passed the House of Representatives!! Votes: 67 yes and 2 no

Image captured from the FBI’s most recent report on domestic violence (DV). Since the beginning of time, DV is a well-known, well-researched gendered crime.

DV happens due to a deeply engrained belief system, that of misogyny. The sociopolitical systems reinforce it, time and again.

In recent years, we are witnessing the misogyny play out
right in front of our eyes,
like never before.

We are in a collective crisis that will continue to escalate until the leaders of these systems are held accountable and monitored.

Data driven action is needed. Brave truth-speakers will lead the charge.

As you have seen in my posts this week, HB0390 Veterans PTSD Clinical Research Ammendments was presented to the Utah state capitol house legislatures. My brother was kind enough to record the presentation in its entirety (video in image). You will notice we had brave veterans, loved ones of veterans, clinical professionals (myself included), and psychedelics research professionals share testimonies. It was a powerful, tearful, and celebratory day!

Thank you for all that supported HB0360 bill today! It passed!!

So many people showed up to provide testimony and the House was unanimously in favor. Those that spoke were only allowed 60 seconds to speak, so I barely was able to introduce myself. Here’s my 60 seconds.

Also if you’d like to add you support, please go to Utahhb390.org you can find your legislators here. Give them a call, write a letter or email, and please share a video or audio testimonial on why you are in favor of the bill. Ask the House members to prioritize the funding of the bill. Thank you so much!
