The secret these researchers are ignorant about is that the flatulence they claim comes from eating broccoli and other veggies in the same family only happen when you have an unhealthy gut. Probiotic enemas that are slowly administered and retained in the colon can be an effective way to heal the colon. When the gut is healthy, flatulence is at a minimum and never foul regardless of what you eat. One exception may be if your body is unloading a bunch of toxins such as when a metabolic cleanse is done.

It may not have been your favorite veggie as a kid, but there are numerous side effects of eating this green that support you eating it now.

I'm actually moving away from Facebook. Vitamin B12 is a precursor to Folate which is found in real food. Vitamin B12 is primarily found in animal products. Folic acid is a man made form of folate. Do not confuse these two, as one is found in real food and one isn't. About half the population have mutated genes that make folic acid unusable by their bodies so check your prenatal vitamin for the food based kind, especially if you are vegan or even vegetarian. Cellular levels of B12 are most important and I'm not sure if that can be measured. The study is assuming if it's in the blood, that the body can use it which isn't always the case. Eating lots of vegetables is good for your health, but excluding animal products from your diet can have devastating consequences to your health.

Almost 59 percent of the human population has at least one of these Gene's. My husband and I have both and therefore all our children do as well. A few of my daughters have 2 of the c677t gene which is the most problematic one. I improved my health and energy by following some of these suggestions. I would suggest a more individual approach though because just because we have one of these Gene's does not mean it will always express negatively. There are also other good Gene's that can off set any negative affects. Good nutrition and lifestyle can play a major role in whether your genetics are expressed negatively also.

A possible contributing factor to a mutated gene expressing in a negative way. My doctor told me that riboflavin isn't needed in large amounts, but maybe that only applies to those without defected genes involving the need for this important water soluble B vitamin. Also when someone has a chronic condition such as an auto-immune condition, the body isn't able to convert the vitamin into it's active form, so supplementing with the active form of the vitamin can make a big difference in a person's health. The active form of Riboflavin is R-5-Phosphate. I personally noticed a difference.

This is why your "MTHFR" is just a riboflavin deficiency!
