Brookdale South Bay celebrated our veterans with two events this year. Last Friday, we held a luncheon hosted by our Dining Director, a veteran himself. Yesterday, we held a pinning ceremony. It was attended by the South Kingstown Police Force, who presented us with a beautiful plaque to be hung on our Veterans' wall of honor.

As part of our daily routine, Brookdale Senior Living has a daily B-Fit exercise class. This class consisted of upper body, lower body and some light stretching. Great job, everybody, stay strong!!

Meet Sarah! She is our Everyday Hero for November. Our residents not only love her food, but they also love her personality. She always lends a helping hand when she is needed. She engages our residents in conversations when she is available, and she loves to laugh!

We had an unforgettable visit from the University of Rhode Island’s “Coco Committee,” a group of animal-loving students who brought their goats to our community! Meet our October Everyday Hero! Elana has been with us since March in our housekeeping department. She is bubbly, helpful, and friendly to everyone she meets! She can be found singing in the halls and while she works. She has a permanent smile on her face and truly loves her job and all of our residents.

We would be lost without you, Elana, even though it's been a short time!! Congratulations!
