β€οΈβπ©Ή Finding healthy self esteem and self love post-trauma is challenging. Because trauma has a way of convincing us that weβre broken, untrustworthy, and undeserving of love. So how do we get from trauma survivor to Q***r Baddie thriver?
π We invest in healing and developing self love.
π« Rather than follow the outdated coaching, like:
1οΈβ£ Never bragging/talking honestly about strengths
2οΈβ£ Using shame to coach ourselves into being a good person
3οΈβ£ Using affirmations just once a day
4οΈβ£ Caring for others first in order to improve self esteem
5οΈβ£ Focusing on never doing anything wrong
β
 Weβre going to focus on:
1οΈβ£ Speaking to our strengths honestly
2οΈβ£ Using kind internal coaching to motivate ourselves
3οΈβ£ Using regular, internal affirmations and validations
4οΈβ£ Meeting our own needs first before offering help to others
5οΈβ£ Honoring humanity, taking accountability when wrong
π When we do these things, we build a positive self love thatβs achievable because itβs grounded in reality and built through regular, non-shaming practice.
π
πΌ Which is a wonderful firm foundation for healing.
