The framework for Mountain Aloha was established in 2002, by owner Lauren Payne. The business model has experienced extensive research and development throughout the past 20 years and continues to persist in bringing uniquely customized bodywork styles represented by independent practitioners that care for the inherent spirit, body, and mind of themselves as well as their recipients. Even doctors of medicine are considered practitioners. Therefore all practitioners should be upheld to a standard to practice what we teach. Hold the vision, and trust the process! Change is the only constant! The original official Mountain Aloha studio existed 2 blocks from Lake Tahoe from 2005-2017. The studio was painted as an entire mural of the combination of Hawaii and the Sierra Mountains of Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately, the snowfall from 2017 caved in the roof of the location and Mountain Aloha was displaced BUT some of the mural was salvageable. After another two locations (not to mention working out of my home "by donation" within the city limits during Covid), finally the landing spot was earned and granted. The incredibly talented artist, .com is both local to Lake Tahoe and Kauai. Synchronicity in the ebb and flow is always cherished and 16 years later Christie was given yet another unique canvas in her beautiful portfolio to express her love and respect for nature divinely returning to the ever expanding nurturing space and spirit of Mountain Aloha. Together we transformed old into new while still representing the salvaged artwork that had been stored with promise since 2017, apparently patiently waiting to feel restored and fortified......the same message Mountain Aloha wishes for your spirit, body, and mind always!! Mountain Aloha is currently in continued stages of development. As of November 2023 two treatment rooms are available, along with a movement therapy room, and a communal waiting area surrounded by a transformational mural combined with other up and coming and/or established artisans represented.
