🆕 Postpartum Support Group! Embracing Joy in the Journey to Black Parenthood 👶🏿👩🏿‍🍼✨ 🔗 Register now, space is limited!🍼 [Link in bio]
This postpartum support group centers the voices, experiences, and wisdom of Black birthing people, offering a nurturing space for healing, connection, and empowerment during the transformative postpartum period. 💫
Through guided group sessions with Dr. Fareedat Ajibade and Dr. Nithya Ravindran, peer support, holistic wellness practices, and facilitated discussions, participants can explore themes of maternal identity, infant bonding, stress reduction, health and wellness, and community resilience. 🤎
Our mission is to affirm the sacredness of the Black maternal journey, reduce postpartum stress, and strengthen the parent-infant bond—all while addressing the structural inequities that disproportionately impact Black families during the perinatal period. This is a co-created space that is community-led, culturally affirming, and stands as a local model for birth justice and collective healing. 🪷

🗓️ 6 sessions | 🕐Thursdays 1-2:30PM | Online 💻

Join us for a powerful screening of Belly of the Beast, a documentary that uncovers the alarming abuses of forced sterilizations in California’s prisons. This film sheds light on the systemic injustices faced by marginalized communities, revealing critical gaps in reproductive justice and the fight for human rights. Following the screening, a panel of experts will lead a discussion on the intersections of reproductive justice, racial inequality, and the steps needed to build a more equitable healthcare system. Don’t miss this important conversation to engage, learn, and advocate for change. Lunch provided and raffles available.
