An excellent night out with the Plastic Surgery team! ✨ This time, we were thrilled to welcome our new interns, joining us for the first time as they got to meet some of our attendings over a great dinner and even better conversations.
We had excellent lectures and meaningful discussions about skin substitutes and wound healing, turning this night into both a warm welcome and an educational experience.
Here’s to a strong start, new connections, and continued growth together! 💪

We’re still buzzing with gratitude for the awesome hands-on course Dr. Durkin provided to our residents earlier this month! 🙏💉

Dr. Durkin, a leader in aesthetic and plastic surgery with highly sought-after courses in the aesthetic surgery community, took time out of his busy schedule to offer an in-depth, hands-on learning experience. He generously supplied a wealth of neurotoxin and filler products, giving our team the chance to practice and refine their techniques in a real-world setting. Dr. Durkin’s guidance and insights were invaluable, and his commitment to educating the next generation of surgeons truly stands out. We’re deeply grateful for his time, expertise, and support. 🙌

This week our residents had the privilege of meeting Dr. Amber Leis at the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons Meeting

Dr. Leis is an expert in adult and pediatric hand surgery, as well as brachial plexus and nerve surgery. Her insights into cutting-edge techniques and patient care were truly invaluable.

An excellent night for learning and bonding with fellow residents. A big thank you to Dr. Leis for her time and wisdom, and to everyone who made this event a memorable one! 🙌

This Friday, we were honored to welcome Dr. Roselle E. Crombie, a renowned faculty member from the Department of Surgery, Trauma, Burns, Wounds, and Surgical Critical Care at Yale New Haven. Dr. Crombie shared invaluable insights not only on advanced approaches to wound closure, but also real-world advice, empowering our residents with new thoughts on navigating the challenges of life in and out of the OR. We’re grateful for her time, her mentorship, and the lasting impact she’s made on our community.

A few weeks ago, we had the honor of attending the amazing SIITTRAL Symposium led by our esteemed attending Dr. Anthony Dardano. He brought together world-class international speakers and members of our program including Dr. Andrew Klapper and our Program Director, Dr. Ricardo Castrellon. While a bit delayed, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible knowledge shared and the inspiring conversations sparked during this unforgettable event.
We are proud to have such a vibrant and dedicated community of learners, mentors, and leaders!
