There are many different THC products today and all of them can create dependence and consequences for the user. Here is an interesting article with some individuals sharing their experience.

Here is the most recent R&A Therapeutic Partners article on screen addiction in adolescents.

"Adolescents are especially vulnerable to the compulsive habits digital platforms can trigger because the parts of their brains that govern emotional regulation and decision-making skills are still developing. Many studies suggest the brain is not full developed until a young person is around 25 years old. This can make teens more vulnerable to addiction and other compulsive behaviors."

Screen addiction is a behavioral condition marked by difficulty putting technology away despite repeated attempts, alongside symptoms such as withdrawal, tolerance and even relapse.

Here is a recent R&A Therapeutic Partners article on the complex relationship between Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and substance use disorders (SUD's). Providing treatment to these individuals or placing them in a program requires a thorough understanding of how individuals with ASD are impacted by SUD and how treatment needs to be individualized to their needs. Many treatment programs that specialize in SUD treatment do not necessarily understand how to adapt their treatment approaches to this population. The team at R&A Therapeutic Partners has extensive experience working with these individuals and understands how to tailor SUD treatment so it can be effective with neurodivergent individuals.

Discover the complex relationship between autism and substance use disorders, risk factors, and how integrated care approaches can better support this overlooked population.RetryClaude can make mistakes. Please double-check responses.

The Creation of R&A Therapeutic Partners

So last year Ana Moreno and Ray Estefania decided to sell their outpatient program that they had founded almost 8 years ago now. In July of 2018 we sold Family Recovery Specialists (FRS) and decided to focus on our consulting practices. For years Ana and Ray worked very hard to brand Family Recovery Specialists and to be known as FRS. It took many years and even after FRS had been around a long time people often still referred to us as “Ray and Ana.” We worked tirelessly to build our program and our brand and over time people started to identify FRS as a program but they would often still say, “Oh sure, Ray and Ana’s program!”

Last year after we sold FRS we began to think about what would be next for us. We knew we would continue doing what we were both so passionate about and we decided to create a new therapeutic consulting practice and continue the work we both love so much. We thought rather than trying to create a completely new brand we would play off the one thing that had frustrated us all those years and we would embrace the whole “Ray and Ana” thing. We then created R&A Therapeutic Partners! The feedback has been great and we are super happy with our new logo too!

R&A is a therapeutic consulting practice that provides evaluations, psychotherapy, family therapy, interventions and educational/therapeutic consulting services to those suffering from substance use as well as other mental health disorders. In addition, we offer educational seminars, parent effectiveness training, substance prevention services, recovery coaching, concierge crisis and case management as well as expert witness testimony in cases involving substance misuse or chemical dependency. The mission of R&A Therapeutic Partners is to provide honest, ethical, compassionate, expert, concierge level support to families and ensure that those who need our services benefit from over 35 years of combined experience and expertise in treating and working with individuals and families suffering with complex substance use disorders and mental illness.

We hope the community will continue to trust us to provide the highest level of clinical and ethical care that we always have. We are committed to continuing the legacy we started with FRS and now converting that to the services we will be providing through our work at R&A. We are grateful for the support over all these years and we will continue to help those families in need and ensure they receive caring, compassionate, competent and ethical guidance as they navigate the challenges of helping someone who suffers with issues related to substance use and mental illness.
