I’m all ears.
Ear on the right has a hint of a yeast issue along with mild crusting around the ear flap. There is also a mild odor to accompany the irritation.
Mild otitis or inflammation of the ear is common with humid weather and can be also precipitated by diet and dietary changes.
It’s a good idea to periodically lift the ear flaps and take a look at what is going on there. Not all dogs will shake their head or scratch at the ears when infection and irritation is setting in.

In my 70’s but can still get down with the dogs. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Up north cats go under cars and sometimes into the underside to escape the cold weather. Now with the oppresive heat here in the south they are also doing the same thing to try and stay cool. Be aware.
Can you spot the kitty?

Happy July 4th.
July 4th will soon be upon us and our pets.
The stress and anxiety for pets afraid of loud noises are not the only issues to worry about and address.
For those dogs that wander around the celebratory parties the foods present are also a problem. The worst one being the cobbers or the dogs that eat corn on the cob. Yes, they can eat corn but the cob itself is indigestible and can be a choking hazard capable of causing intestinal blockage. Even small pieces of the cob can cause severe GI distress in some pets.
So enjoy the day but please make sure to keep the corn on the cob away from dogs that are around.

Our Story

Veterinary Clinic offering integrative therapies including but not limited to Medicine,Surgery,Dentistry, Acupuncture, Homeopathy ,Gold bead Implants, Laser therapy/acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.

We see and treat a large population of elder or senior pets. Some of our natural protocols have given us the opportunity to address the basic needs and wants of the elder pet and here at our practice they are never forgotten. All too often the issues elder pets face are too often categorized as normal for their age. Well, we work to change those thoughts as we believe that elder pets deserve the same care and merit as young pups and kittens do.

In addition we offer video otic scoping ( ear scoping ) for those pets that have chronic ear issues that never seem to improve.

We believe in a Holistic Vaccine Protocol tailored to your pets needs, habits and health status. If we address and inform on the things you need to know when your pets are young then we believe they will be around for a much longer time. Although we strive to see new clients in a timely manner, we do advise that previous records, results and x-rays be sent to our office prior to your pets’ consult. Complete histories are important in determining if your pets problem is one that can be helped and resolved by our Doctor and staff. So yes, we do the things that regular veterinarians do but in addition we specialize in a few other modalities that when grouped together may help keep your pet remain a family member for a long, long time.
