This is our SOAR Buffalo Program—our kids’ program for teens who are struggling with w**d, other substances, or just having a hard time with their behavior. It’s been one of the most rewarding things we’ve ever done.

A huge part of the program is getting them out into nature. Rivers. Mountains. No phones. Just scenery, water, and stillness. We call it Present Moment Protection. We teach these kids how to sit with themselves. No distractions. No thoughts. Just breathe, look around, and be where their feet are. That’s something most adults still don’t know how to do.

We also teach them how to lift weights. There’s something powerful about getting strong—physically, emotionally, spiritually. These are just a few clips of us taking them out to the river, lifting in the gym, and showing them what it looks like to live a different way.

Thank you to everyone who put this on and made it a fun Saturday morning for a great cause, and to our SOAR participants who went hard! We had an individual place 2nd overall and another who placed 5th. It’s amazing what we can do when we point ourselves in the right direction!
