Knowing what’s normal after oral surgery (and what isn’t) can make recovery safer and less stressful. Here are red flag symptoms that mean you should call our office:

• Severe or increasing pain that isn’t improving
• Heavy bleeding that doesn’t slow with pressure
• Fever or chills
• Persistent nausea or vomiting
• Swelling that suddenly worsens after day three
• Pus, foul odor, or unusual discharge
• Difficulty breathing or swallowing
