Got spine or shoulder pain? Whether it's from sports, sitting too long, or an old injury, we can help.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapy, this is one-one-one treatment for faster healing.

Manual labor, contact sports, extended periods of sitting, or serious injuries can all introduce extensive and significant pain and tension to the spine and shoulders.

The therapists will assess your pain, review your history, and create a plan that makes sense for your situation, including rehabilitation of the rotator cuff, shoulder separation, tears to the labral cuff (known as a SLAP tear), or those diagnosed with scoliosis.

In addition to shoulder therapy, South Orange Rehabilitation & Wellness also works with patients enduring lumbar pain due to a herniated disc(s), degenerative disc disease, sprain, strain, or anyone recovering from back surgery.

At South Orange Rehabilitation & Wellness, we offer non-surgical spinal decompression therapy to help alleviate chronic back pain.

This non-invasive treatment uses gentle stretching to relieve pressure on your spine, allowing vital nutrients and blood to promote healing.

What is Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression?
As you age, cartilage and gel cushioning between joints naturally deteriorate. As a result, your spine’s vertebrae lose much of their flexibility and become prone to injury.

That’s why simple tasks like bending over to tie your shoes can cause you to “throw out” your back. Years of less-than-perfect posture and physically demanding work also take their toll on your delicate spine.

Most cases of chronic back pain are the result of a bulging, herniated, or slipped disc. Spinal decompression offers an effective alternative to invasive, surgical decompression.

Your physical therapists at South Orange Rehabilitation and Wellness will use a specialized table to gradually relieve pressure on your damaged spine.

Gentle and gradual stretching relieves years of built-up pressure on your vertebrae while allowing vital nutrients, oxygen, and blood to enter the damaged parts of your vertebrae. Over time, your slipped disc will slowly slip back into place.

Book a call with us and let us help you.

Dizziness and falls can be symptoms of balance disorders, which affect an estimated 40% of the U.S. population.

Dizziness, disorientation, and falls – these are just a few of the adverse effects of balance issues, an all-too-common problem with potentially disastrous results.

Balance system disorders affect an estimated 40% of the U.S. population and can have a number of underlying causes.

At South Orange Rehabilitation & Wellness, our experienced and well-trained physical therapists will work with you to uncover the root cause(s) of your unsteadiness through targeted exercises and therapies.

For patients with balance issues, one of our primary goals is to prevent further injury and fracture due to falls – an unfortunate side effect of vestibular difficulty.

At South Orange Rehabilitation & Wellness, one of our specialties is treating chronic back and neck pain through a combination of hands-on therapy, education, and prevention techniques.

Nestled between the delicate fibres of the central nervous system, the bones, ligaments, and tendons of the spine require exceptional care and thorough examination.

To treat chronic, ongoing pain stemming from an accident or injury, you need a physical therapist with experience and skill – not only in the hands-on treatment phase but in the education and prevention components as well.

We want to see every head held high – and pain-free. Through posture awareness, increased strength, and conditioning, or targeted stretches designed to heal the spine, we are here to help.
