There’s nothing like homemade strawberry lemonade to cool down on a hot day — and today, we made it from scratch! As we sipped, we shared stories about how our summers have changed over the years — from childhood bike rides to young adult adventures, raising families, and now, relaxing together in the simple joy of making lemonade with friends.

Knitting with Purpose 🧶💙
Our amazing Knitting Club is hard at work every Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Community Room, creating beautiful handmade blankets for Project Linus—a wonderful organization that provides comfort to children (ages 0–18) who are seriously ill, traumatized, or in need.

We’re so proud of the love and care our residents pour into every stitch. Great job, ladies! 👏

Beginners are always welcome, and donations of yarn are greatly appreciated. Come join us in spreading warmth and kindness—one blanket at a time.

South Orange Police Visit JCHC – Scam Awareness & Safety
We were honored to welcome members of the South Orange Police Department as they spoke with our residents about scams that commonly target seniors. 🛑👮‍♂️

Their informative session covered how to recognize red flags, protect personal information, and take action if something doesn’t feel right. Empowering our community with knowledge is one of the best defenses against fraud.

A big thank you to SOPD for their time, care, and commitment to keeping our seniors safe!

Bingo Fun!
There’s nothing like the excitement of a classic game of Bingo to bring everyone together! 🎉 Our residents recently enjoyed an afternoon filled with laughter, friendly competition, and the thrill of shouting “Bingo!” The energy in the room was contagious as numbers were called and anticipation grew with each round.

It’s moments like these that highlight the joy of community living—fun, connection, and lots of smiles. Special thanks to Sandy for being our fabulous Bingo caller! 💙
