This week is National Handwashing Week, a good time to remember how important clean hands are for staying healthy, especially during cold and flu season.

A quick wash with soap and water helps prevent many common illnesses and keeps our community feeling its best. If soap and water are not available, hand sanitizer is a helpful backup.

We celebrated Veterans' Day with a flag-raising ceremony followed by a reception for all residents to attend. Our Executive Director, Caitlin, shared the sentiments, "Here at the Grande, we are especially proud to call many veterans our neighbors and friends. Each of you has your own story—stories of courage, sacrifice, and service that remind us of what it truly means to put others before oneself. Let us remember that freedom is not free. It has been safeguarded by the dedication of generations of Americans—people just like you who believed that our country and its ideals were worth protecting. All of you answered the call to serve. And for that, we say 'thank you.'"
