Coming Soon: A New Option for Enlarged Prostate

📢 Big news at Fore River Urology!
We’re excited to share that in early 2026 we’ll be launching a brand-new program offering Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE) — an advanced, minimally invasive treatment option for men dealing with enlarged prostate (BPH) symptoms.
Why this matters: many men with BPH struggle with urinary urgency, slow stream, frequent nighttime waking, and are looking for alternatives to medications or more invasive surgery.
What’s coming: we’ve partnered with a world-renowned interventional radiologist — one of the highest-volume PAE proceduralists in the field — to bring this cutting-edge care directly to our community.
Stay tuned for more details, FAQs, and how you or someone you know might benefit.
✅ If you’re curious about whether PAE could be right for you, drop a comment or send us a message.

We are proud to be the only facility in Maine offering Aquablation Therapy, an advanced, minimally invasive treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Aquablation uses a robot-guided, heat-free waterjet to precisely remove prostate tissue while preserving s*xual and urinary function.

Clinical studies show:
- Significant and lasting symptom improvement through 5 years
- Increased urinary flow rates
- Low retreatment rates
- High rates of preserved ej*******on

Aquablation is an option for prostates of all sizes, including larger glands where other treatments may be less effective.
Learn more about the procedure and outcomes in this short video.

In this video, Dr. Gregory Adey from Fore River Urology in South Portland, Maine, walks you through what happens during a aquablation surgery consultation an...
