Maine Community Bank recently merged with Gorham Savings Bank and between the two institutions they have given TOA more than $120,000 over the past 20 years.

Jeanne Hulit, the President of MCB, has served on TOA's Board of Directors since 2016. They have participated in TOA's annual golf tournament and played a roll in our holiday drive.

Since 2014, Grammy-nominated Palaver Strings has made its mark as one of New England's most innovative chamber ensembles. Palaver launched the Palaver Music Center in 2019. PMC programs offer pathways to musical development from birth through adulthood, including Early Childhood Music classes and string instrument lessons. Their programs seek to address inequities in access to music education, serving Portland families of diverse backgrounds.

TOA's Head Start program has partnered with Palaver Strings for almost 10 years, bringing music to children across Greater Portland. They've also partnered with Head Start parents to record lullabies in the families native languages.
