Losing a close friend can be just as devastating as losing a family member, though others might not always recognize the depth of that grief.

Sometimes, people are surprised by how deeply they’re affected when a friend—whether close or more distant—passes away. But grief doesn't follow rules, and it's entirely normal to feel shocked, heartbroken, or overwhelmed by such a loss. No matter who the person was, losing someone you care about is never easy.

We're here for you, to offer support and help carry some of that pain.

What a beautiful tribute we shared yesterday in honor of our beloved dad, Carmen F. Spezzi. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Borough of Sayreville, the Shade Tree Commission, the Mayor and Council, Clinton Monuments, Rutgers University, and everyone who contributed to making this event so special. Your love, support, and generosity mean the world to our family. Dad would have been deeply touched and truly grateful for the kindness shown to him and to all of us.
