What I learned from giving up alcohol for Lent!

The results were quite shocking to tell you the truth, increased energy, decreased body fat, and the ability to focus on more of what matters to me and to inspire others to make change.

If you’ve never given up alcohol for 40 days before, I strongly suggest you have to try and see the effects it can have for you and your life.

Don’t yuk my yum 😋

in relationship, remember, there’s you, your partner, and the relationship. Each of those pieces need work and each of those pieces need to do the things that they enjoy.

Fill yourself up by doing the things that you have passion for and find enjoyment in, and remember to allow others to do the same for themselves.

I found this is one of the truest ways to find happiness.

Priority is your new secret word for transformation.

When you make something a priority, you’re choosing yourself and your goal over all else. And when you do that, you won’t feel like you’re giving up something else.

Instead, you’ll feel like you’re gaining at all.

We’ve all got the same amount of time in the day, it’s up to you to choose how you want to spend it and what do you want to spend it on.

The 5-Minute Morning You’re Skipping…

You have 5 minutes before your phone ruins your morning. Here’s what to do with them.

Most people grab their phone the second they wake up — cortisol spikes, anxiety sets in, and the rest of the day plays catch-up.

Breathwork + one intentional movement before you touch your screen. That’s it. Two inputs. Complete nervous system reset.

Four steps to less stress…

1) Recognize that you are stressed or anxious.

2) Ask yourself, what am I stressed about?

3) Once you identify what you were stressed about, ask yourself, what can I do about it? Then take action to reduce your stress.

4) Thank your stress response for waking you up to your stress and helping you see a shift was needed.

Rinse and repeat this technique whenever you need it, and it will get easier and better overtime

If you let your habits, emotions, or outside pressures drive your decisions…they’ll take you somewhere you never intended to go.

A lot of people live in the same cycle reacting instead of responding.

Reacting gives your power away.
Responding requires awareness, patience, and self-compassion.

The moment you pause and choose intentionally…you take back control of your direction.

Your life.Your decisions.Your responsibility.
Are you reacting to life or responding to it?

Release your stress and just five minutes…

A lot of time, stress and anxiety come from built-up tension that we haven’t released throughout the day by moving.

And the more we sit, and the less we move, the more stress can build.

To start reducing your stress, start moving more often and focus on resetting your nervous system system.

Move first, then feel the calm.

Many of the money habits we have today were shaped when we were children.

Watching our parents struggle with bills.Seeing them stress over groceries.Hearing phrases like “we can’t afford that.”

These experiences quietly build the belief system we carry into adulthood.

Sometimes we feel guilt, hesitation, or anxiety around spending even when we can afford it.

The real work is recognizing those patterns and choosing differently.

Because your past may shape your beliefs…but it doesn’t have to define your future.

What money belief did you grow up hearing?

One of the hardest financial decisions is choosing between paying off debt or keeping money in savings.

Both represent something important.

Debt represents freedom from obligation.Savings represent security for the future.

Sometimes choosing one means temporarily moving away from the other.
That doesn’t mean the decision is wrong.

Financial growth often involves trade-offs, discomfort, and learning to live with the choices we make.

Money decisions are rarely perfect. But awareness makes them better.

Have you ever struggled choosing between saving or paying debt first?

Conversation with Dr., Erika Rasure:

Your relationship with money doesn’t start in your bank account.

It starts in your nervous system.

The way you react to spending, saving, or making financial decisions is often connected to your emotions, stress responses, and self-awareness.

Money itself isn’t good or bad.
It’s neutral energy.

But the moment we attach judgment, fear, or shame to money, we lose clarity in how we manage it.

If you want to get better with money, the real work starts inside first.

Because money isn’t just about numbers, it’s about awareness.

What’s one belief you have about money?
