The Tri-State Su***de Awareness walk was a big success this morning!! Our Clinical Director, Michelle, and Data Specialist, Brittany, represented HCS with a table full of resources and life-saving information. Meanwhile, a group of our staff and board members—including our Finance Director, Kendra—walked in memory of someone they loved and lost. We’re honored to be part of such a meaningful event. 💜

Team Heartland showed up in full force at the South Sioux City Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism golf outing today—and we had a blast! Our Executive Director, Jennifer Jackson, and both current and former board members hit the links, while our Director of Marketing & Development, Angela Harrison, got to see who the best putters were on the course. Huge thanks to board member Brian Van Berkum and KCAU 9 News Sports reporter Alex Huddleston for bravely volunteering as tributes for the dunk tank! The weather kept us from soaking our friends this time, but it didn’t stop the day from being a success.

Today, the nation mourns the deaths of the nearly 3,000 victims of the terrorist attacks on America 24 years ago.

At nightfall, the Tribute in Light will light up the New York City skyline in memory of those lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
