TTC was consuming my life— until these 3 things that shifted everything for me 🤰🏻

1. Acupuncture — I’m a huge fan of Chinese medicine and I have seen acupuncture make a positive impact in my own hormonal acne journey & fertility journey, as well as my clients who are balancing hormones, TTC, going through IVF, and dealing with perimenopause. If you are in Tampa, .ashleyheintz is the best and is known as the baby maker for a reason 😉

2. Mentally shifting my focus on the present and making plans for fun things now helped reduce stress. It’s so easy to get caught up in thoughts like “I’m not going to buy this dress bc I might be pregnant next month” etc. and that’s not helpful at all, especially in my case when 6 months went by and I realized I kept putting off my life bc “I might be pregnant.”Just live in the present— buy the dress, schedule the trip, set goals, and focus on having fun > stress 💃🏻 (I know easier said than done but it really makes a positive impact)

3. I wasn’t intentionally putting on weight, but I was intentionally eating a super nutrient-dense, high protein diet with lots of healthy fat and fiber and my hormones and body responded well because I felt stronger and my blood work was perfect 💪🏼

I did all these things after TTC for 6 months, getting fertility testing done and everything coming back normal, taking a 2 month break, then starting TTC again.

This is not medical advice, just a few things that worked for me to take me from being totally consumed by TTC, to living in the present and finally conceiving naturally.

When I work with clients there is a lot more physically that we work on to get someone to the place where these things will also help make a difference, so if you need help with the foundations, that is where to start.

The secret sauce for creating consistency 🫡

Whatever your goal is that you are working towards is obviously challenging or you would have already achieved it, right?

So the problem isn’t that you don’t have enough willpower or self-control. The problem is that you aren’t consistent. Here is how you build up consistency:

✅ You are going to do is it first thing in the morning. For some this could be 5am for others 9am but either way, getting it done in the morning helps build momentum bc you feel accomplished and less likely to push it off as the day gets busy.

✅ Then you are going to start small and shift your perspective. Let’s say you do a 5 minute meditation or 15 minute strength workout, that is a very very small amount of time out of 24 hours!!! That’s nothing. You can do anything for 15 minutes and think of all the benefits you’ll gain and how good you’ll feel.

So there ya go, that’s how you are going to finally be consistent to achieve your goals!! Just do it first thing in the morning and shift your perspective on how little of your day it actually takes.

The short answer is no, but there are some ways to optimize your caffeine intake to keep your hormones happy ✨

💤 Getting restful, restorative sleep every night is so important for hormone balance and provides your body with natural energy so you don’t rely on caffeine.

☕️ Having more than one cup a day can disrupt your circadian rhythm. Caffeine takes 6 hours to process through the liver so we don’t want to intake any after 2pm to ensure we get good quality sleep.

🍳 This one is SO important for hormone balance and clearing your skin!! Drinking coffee on an empty stomach spikes blood sugar, creates an acidic environment in the stomach leading to indigestion, and spikes the stress hormone cortisol causing anxiety & an afternoon crash.
